HORNER XPRESS 2-STORY DISTRIBUTION CENTER

Horner Xpress Distribution is a 26,000 square foot office and distribution facility located in Jacksonville, Florida. GM HILL provided structural engineering and construction administration services for the project. The main building was design as an open structure for warehouse space and pallet racks throughout. The 2-story space was designed for administrative and office areas with a potential for retail spaces. The structural design consisted of a combination of load-bearing concrete masonry walls to support a portion of the second-floor framing and load-bearing tilt-up concrete wall panels were utilized to support the balance of the second-floor framing and the pre-cast concrete double tee units for the roof system. The second-floor framing utilized a composite steel beam floor system.
