TRYP SAN SEBASTIAN

This newly constructed 95-room hotel is located in the Historic city of St. Augustine, Florida. The hotel consists of twin 5-story buildings, meeting spaces, office and administration areas, and a breakfast area with an outdoor pool/spa. The new facility is located along the Matanzas River in the heart of downtown St. Augustine. GM HILL provided structural designer for this project, which consisted of a combination of load-bearing concrete masonry and reinforced concrete, hollowcore planks for the elevated floor framing and pre-engineered wood roof trusses supporting APA rated sheathing. The ground floor is designed as a non-structural concrete slab on grade bearing on a continuous stemwall shallow foundation system.
