GM HILL provided structural engineering services for the interior and exterior renovations to the existing 20,000 SF Jacksonville Chamber Building for their “Downtown’s New Front Door” project. The building is used as a showplace for business to have the opportunity to connect with and buy from other Chamber members. The overall project scope consisted of interior and exterior renovations to the existing 3-story structure to include complete HVAC upgrades, Fire Protection, complete interior renovations to create new spaces, parking and drainage improvements, landscape, and hardscape features. In addition to the interior renovations, major exterior structural repairs were required to stabilize the existing ground floor and existing foundations, pre-design of the foundations included structural slab, grade beams, and helical piles.
