Rivertown Amenity Center, Pier and Restroom

Located within a new 4,170-acre master-planned community in the northwest part of St. Johns County, Florida, Rivertown Amenity Park offers residents an area for fitness, swimming, playgrounds, social and recreational use. GM Hill provided comprehensive structural engineering services for the construction of this new amenity center.
The structural design encompassed multiple new buildings (including a 3,000 SF clubhouse), meeting rooms, outdoor palm court with bar area, kitchen and bathrooms. The new 3,500 SF Fitness Center includes an in-ground pool, slide towers, piers, overlooks, boardwalks and baths. The structural design for the Amenity Center Buildings consisted of a combination of load bearing wood frame walls and pre- engineered wood roof trusses supporting APA rated sheathing. The porches and trellis areas were conventionally framed supporting APA rated sheathing.
