GM HILL was the Structural Engineer of Record for the new two-story Police Law Enforcement Center. The space includes offices, conference rooms and a training facility. The self-contained facility centralized police functions, formerly scattered in numerous outdated buildings, into one comprehensive state-of-the-art center. It houses the administrative, records, patrol, investigations, and communications divisions.
The design consisted of a combination or composite steel construction, structural steel framing and load bearing concrete masonry walls supported on a shallow foundation system.
