GM HILL was contracted to repair, replace, restore and stabilize approximately 20 LF of damaged sewage line running from CGC Diligence to Wilmington, NC public works. Prior to the investigation, the area adjacent to the bulkhead was sealed off at the north end with steel sheet piles and the area was excavated to expose the condition of the wale, tie rods, the wale-to-tie rod connection, and wale-to-sheet connection. A visual inspection of each tie rod including remaining diameter, surface deterioration and corrosion and the integrity of the connection to the wale.
