Structural Reinforcement of Data Center Floor Slab Emergency Generator and UPS Backup FBOP Central Office

GMHILL provided Project Management, Engineering Design, Quality Assurance, Cost Estimating, and Construction for this Design-Build project.  The nature of operations in the building required construction activities for an expedited design and construction schedule. Construction activities XXXXXXXXX on the first-floor slab using carbon fiber-reinforced polymer reinforcement (FRP) to support future computer racks and equipment for the new computer room. A Conditions Facility Assessments XXXXXXX the existing framing to determine the maximum capacity of existing floor framing.  Ground penetrating radar (GPR) testing was performed to identify the existing reinforcement in the beams and slab.  GM HILL also designed and installed a new UPS system and two new backup generators supported on pile foundations, and XXXX to the existing mechanical and electrical systems.
