GMHILL was the Prime Design-Build Contractor and Engineer of Record for the Repair and Stabilization at York River Shoreline, Yorktown, VA. The York River shoreline parallels the Colonial National Historical Parkway for approximately 4.5 miles. Sections of the coastline were altered during the original parkway construction, and the river’s flow has deteriorated in those areas. GMHILL provided engineering and construction services to rehabilitate revetments and provide shoreline protection for approximately 1,000 linear feet of riverbank between Indian Field Creek and Felgate’s Creek near the Indian Field Creek Bridge.
