GMHILL designed and constructed a new multi-function boat ramp at Blount Island, serving as the primary launch for mission-bound marine vessels. As the Designer of Record, we provided project management, architecture, structural engineering, sustainable design, and cost estimating.

The project included key elements such as a sheet pile foundation, reinforced concrete slab, asphalt paving, underground electrical distribution, and exterior lighting. GMHILL used MII software to deliver precise cost estimates at each project phase, ensuring accuracy throughout.

As the Prime Design-Build Contractor, GMHILL managed all construction operations, overseeing safety, quality control, and supervision. The scope included demolishing existing systems, installing a 22′ x 75′ sheet pile-supported boat launch, cathodic protection, new lighting, an ASP communication station, and restoring the landscape.
