GMHILL was selected as the Engineer/Architect of Record for the Apollo Beach Conservation Center’s new research facility and hatchery, commissioned by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation. The project includes a 14,000 SF research center, a 10,000 SF high-bay research lab, and a 4,000 SF office/support space, all designed to foster the growth and survival of fish in the area.

Sustainability was central to the design, with strategies to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact. The buildings, elevated to meet future flood levels, use pre-engineered metal frames and durable materials and incorporate aquaculture-specific piping systems.
