FY21 Commercial Vehicle Inspection Gate

GMHILL was the lead architect and Engineer of Record on designing a new Commercial Vehicle Inspection (CVI) facility and Entry Control Facility (ECF) or the US Army Core of Engineers – Louisville located at the Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama. GMHILL conducted a Design Charrette meeting, developed a 35% design, and prepared a Design Analysis, a Parametric Cost Estimate, a Value Engineering (VE) Study, Site Survey, and CID. The project included an entry road connection from US-31 Birmingham Highway, entrance/exit lanes, rejection lane/turnaround, inspection guardhouse, overwatch tower, additional pavements and sidewalks, vehicle inspection area, overhead canopies, bollards / mechanical barriers, fencing, closeable gate, and security lighting.
