Episcopal High School is a superior college-prep school located in Jacksonville, Florida. This project entailed designing a new, state-of-the-art, six-classroom academic building. The building was designed as a mirror image with a covered walkway. The structural design of the 23,000 SF, 2-story classroom facility consisted of a combination of load-bearing, Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) walls, and concrete masonry walls with pre-cast hollow core planks for the second-floor framing. The design also included a steel bar joist, metal deck, pre-engineered wood roof trusses supported by steel framing, and a shallow foundation system.
