Jacksonville, FL – November 11, 2024. G.M. Hill Engineering, Inc. (GMHILL), a DBE, women-owned small business (WOSB) design-build firm offering architecture, engineering, and construction services, based in Jacksonville, FL, announced today that Mike Good, PE, PMP has joined the firm as Federal Civilian Program Director.
In this senior leadership position, Mike will oversee GMHILL’s federal civilian agency programs, cultivate client and strategic partner relationships, develop new accounts, and contribute to the company’s growth. He will collaborate closely with GMHILL’s management team to deliver a diverse portfolio of federal design and construction projects that support client missions.

Mr. Good has over 20 years of experience in progressively responsible roles within the Coast Guard and the private sector. As a professional engineer and program manager, he has overseen all aspects of the project lifecycle, including planning, design, construction, operations, management, and maintenance. His expertise encompasses disaster response and recovery, showcasing a thorough understanding of proactive and reactive management of complex federal projects. Additionally, he has served as an Executive Officer and Facility Engineer for the Coast Guard, managing multiple million-dollar programs and leading a team responsible for overseeing $3.4 billion in facilities across various states and the Caribbean. His expertise also includes strategic planning, business development, continuous process improvement, and workforce development within a civil engineering program of over 500 personnel.
Michael Mike holds a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Ohio and has certifications in Project Management Professional and Construction Quality Management for Contractors.
